FAQ

Handmade

Your pots are sisters, not twins! I love the uniqueness of handmade pieces, but not everybody does! If you want everything to look the same, buying handmade is probably not your jam. Small variations in form, size, and color are to be expected. No two items will be the same, which makes each piece one of a kind.

Local Pickup

If you live in Northwest Arkansas and would rather pick up your item, use promo code “PICKUP” at check out. I will reach out to you within 5 business days (via the email address you provide at checkout) to coordinate a day and time.

Shipping

As I work in batches, there will be some time between when your order is placed and when it ships. I ship out pottery in loads, and do all the packaging myself.

If you placed multiple orders with me and it's safe to do so, I will combine orders and refund any shipping overages.

You will receive a notification by email with a tracking number once your order has been shipped.

All packaging is eco-friendly. I use biodegradable materials only and no plastic.

Returns

All sales are final, but if your pottery arrives broken please contact me! Just send a picture of the damaged piece in the original packaging within 48 hours of package arrival. Packages are insured and require a picture of the product, box, and shipping label to claim. I will work with you on a replacement or a refund.

I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages. For issues with delivery or tracking, visit the carrier’s website for instructions on how to make a claim.

Shoot! The piece I wanted is gone!

Let me know! Most items are easy for me to replicate and I can likely include it in the next shop update.

Custom Orders

I take custom orders on a very limited basis. Creating completely new pieces is a time intensive process that involves many rounds of testing clay and glazes. Financially, it's impractical to do this for one-off or small orders.  For this reason, custom orders must meet a minimum of $150. A deposit of 50% will be required. If you're interested, reach out and let's talk!

Ceramic Care

Unless otherwise noted, all my pottery is food safe. My glazes are free of lead and other heavy metals. Each pot is fired twice at around 2300 degrees, which ensures that all of the glaze components are entirely encapsulated and will not leach into your food.

Stoneware is dishwasher and microwave safe, but I personally recommend handwashing to give your pottery a long and happy life. The dishwasher can be pretty hard on ceramics, so I only use the dishwasher every once in a while.

The exception to this is items with gold lustre or mother-of-pearl. Do not put these in the dishwasher (or microwave).

Speaking of the microwave, be aware of thermal shock. A rapid change in temperature can crack your pottery.
